Case Study:

A poster, a bumper video and some cute popcorn dudes with a fateful ending

We were approached by TAAFI (Toronto Animation Arts Festival International) to create an eye-catching poster and a fun video bumper for their film festival, to engage and entertain the audience before the festival began.

Our job was to come up with designs that truly captured the essence of the festival while staying true to TAAFI's brand.

To add a unique twist to the typical pre-movie theatre experience, we decided to create a video featuring animated popcorn characters, that meet their untimely death. These lively characters were designed to bring a bit of charm to the screen, setting a playful tone for the festival.

Throughout the process, we focused on making designs that felt authentic to the festival's inclusive and creative spirit, steering clear of the usual event clichés. Our goal was to bring fresh ideas that would connect with the audience and highlight what makes the TAAFI film festival special.
